Do you ever stop and look around and truly feel like you are exactly where you are supposed to be? I mean, it may not be what you envisioned, but it just FEELS right.

These last handful of months have been an emotional ride and also everything just had a way of falling into place. Now, don’t kid yourself, it hasn’t been easy per say, but it feels like it’s flowing the way it should.

I left my career of 16 years on April 30th. Ironically, my mother’s birthday…who had also JUST had hip replacement surgery as well (by the way, she’s doing great!). We immediately took a nice trip and then the crazy started. We packed up a Uhaul of my daughter’s belongings and she moved to a whole other state. SO brave and I couldn’t be more proud of the path she is paving for herself.

We had a few fun weekend trips in between. After all, when you have kids scattered all over, you just do what you can to get as much time with them as possible.

Then, I closed the chapter on my apartment, as I had already moved in with my boyfriend. I held that space for my son for a little while longer. That apartment complex housed my son and I (and daughter and her boyfriend for a time) in an instant when we needed it. Ironically, our original apartment number was my son and my birthdays – to me, a sign that we were where we were supposed to be. We had to abruptly move apartments within the same complex in March, due to mold. I didn’t realize it at the time, in the craziness of the move, but the new apartment number was the date of my first date with my boyfriend – very symbolic. Again, a sign that things were moving in the direction they were supposed to.

We packed the storage unit to the brim, played a game of tetris with my boyfriend’s truck and loaded up what we could in my son’s car. He too is off to a whole other state.

It’s weird, even though it was done in a bit of a progression, to no longer live with your children. I want them to fly and live their lives, but it’s just weird.

OK…small side note here. I came onto my blog to write a blog about divine timing and what is written above is what I had written back in the beginning of July and I never finished. WOW, this immaculate timing of life just keeps hitting me left and right.

So, we are now in August (almost September – what the heck happened) and I’d like to elaborate just a bit more on all of this timing stuff.

I have accepted my first full-time position in Tahoe. When I moved up here in May, I set out to finish my book (release is set for early to mid-September), sink into this beautiful community and be employed by July/August.

This hasn’t been an easy road. Moving my kids to their new homes in different states, working on various projects with my amazing boyfriend that we hope to have off the ground shortly, this wild journey of writing and publishing my book and trying to find the right fit for me for employment. It’s been challenging and frightening at times.

I put together a consulting business. I worked part-time at the local Visitor’s Center (and still will when I can), met some people that I know I was meant to meet, doing some contract work and then wham…an awesome opportunity fell at my feet last week.

I want to encourage you to surround yourself with positive and supportive people. I truly believe we all have a plan – an orchestrated plan of complete diving timing. So please, even when things get tough, please keep moving forward and trust in your own magical timing. Talk to yourself in a positive way, surround yourself with uplifting people, work hard and believe that what is meant for you, will find you…in the divine timing it was meant to.

Go do brave things and challenge yourself a bit. Go buy yourself some flowers and as always, thank you for being on this journey with me – together we can make a difference in our own lives and in the lives of others. Cheers!
